I had a lot of requirements when looking for the perfect mat, and this one checked all the boxes. Many brands sell these as a heavy roll-out rug, which is difficult for kids to access on their own. This product, however, has all the features of a rug with that carpet-top feel and non-slip backing, but is lightweight and foldable. This concept is so unbelievably cool, it'll literally have your toddlers coloring everywhere — without the stress! The "no-mess-ink" is completely clear/invisible and only appears on the included specialty paper.
While I found this to be the most inclusive set, there are endless Color Wonder options: assorted markers, paint sets, stampers, coloring books, plain refill paper, and more. This kit also comes in a carrying case making it great for travel.

Sorry to disappoint — for those of you who saw the title and assumed I found a mess-free solution, this is still chalk. But I have my reasons why this is your most desirable pick! This chalk set by Crayola comes with a great assortment of colors and is your most washable option out there. The puck-shaped pieces are significantly more durable and longer lasting than classic chalk sticks, and won't crack or get used up in seconds. They're designed for easy grip and to stay in place on the ground — it's a pleasure not to have to chase these down my driveway!

My friend suggested this as an activity idea for a fast day — and it was quite the hit! The Magic Water Elf by Kiditos is a step above your typical arts and crafts set. This kit keeps kids engaged, not only creating the little water elves, but enjoying playing with them afterward! The set comes with multiple molds and an assortment of vibrant colored gels. There are many sets sold by this brand — from color-changing to glow-in-the-dark, though I found this classic one to have the best variety for the price. Recommended for ages 5 and up, though younger kids can join with some assistance.
