Mushie Silicone Mix & Match Cupcake Toy (4-pack)
My most recommended material for bathtime is silicone โ it's durable, easy to clean, and least susceptible to mold. This toy is no exception! Mushie is the king of all silicone toys and baby products. These cupcakes are an adorable twist on the classic bath stacking cups, with their mix-and-match tops adding a fun element to playtime. Whether in the bath or out, this one's a winner. Sold on Amazon with some alternative styles as well.
Munchkin Rinse Shampoo Bath Rinser Cup
Maybe I'm the only one with dramatic little girls, but I needed a solution to stop mine from shrieking for a towel to dry their eyes while I rinse their hair. The Munchkin Rinser cup holds a generous amount of water, making each rinse count. Its soft, flexible rim hugs your child's forehead to keep the suds out of their eyes. The cup is easy to clean, and its slim design fits perfectly on most bathtub ledges.
Munchkin White Hot Safety Bath Duck
This may seem cliche, but I couldn't write a column on bath toys without a rubber duck! And although it looks ordinary, this Munchkin Safety Duck features a temperature sensor on the bottom that lets you know if the water's too hot for your child. No need to dip your elbows in before your baby's toes โ just place the duck in the water, and watch if "HOT" turns white.
Bonus: It has no holes, meaning no squirting, no mold, and no surprises when you squeeze it!
Ubbi Freestanding Bath Toy Organizer
I've tried plenty of different bath toy storage options, and this one remains unmatched. The Ubbi Bath Toy Organizer has a large opening and the capacity to hold many toys of all shapes and sizes. The caddy's user-friendly handle allows you to easily scoop up the toys after bathtime, and it's designed with large draining holes and a separate freestanding base to allow everything to dry outside the tub โ a cleaner, dare I say mold-free, storage solution.
Lorfancy 20-Piece Silicone Tea Party Set
I'm spilling the tea on our absolute favorite! Although this wasn't designed as a bath toy, I'm simply not chilled enough to allow water play in our playroom โ so into the tub it went! This Lorfancy Tea Set is made of high quality silicone, is easy to clean, and safe for drinking (for those one-year-olds who just love the taste of bath water). So set the ledge, fill the kettle, and start the party โ and don't be surprised if a few siblings want in on the fun.
Tub Works Bath Vehicles โ Mold-Free (6-pack)
You can finally retire your rusting matchbox cars โ Tub Works Bath Vehicles feature realistic designs making playtime just as authentic. These durable, squeezable city cars are sealed to keep moisture out without retaining water and mold. So get the boys involved and bring some traffic to the tub!
Mr. Bubble Extra Gentle Dye & Fragrance Free (36 oz)
This is definitely the best bubble for your buck! Mr. Bubble is gentle on skin and eyes, and provides a super-sudsy experience you won't find elsewhere. A little goes a long way โ just two ounces of the solution can give you a tub full of bubbles.
Tip: Pour Mr. Bubble under running water for the bubbliest results!
Alex Bath ABC Stickers in the Tub
While these may not be on theme with my mold-free, silicone obsession โ they are still a classic and always fun! Alex Bath ABC Stickers are appealing and durable, sticking to all tub and tile surfaces when wet. These can last quite a while, though after enough spots and teeth marks, you may want to replace them. Great incentive to practice those spelling words! Sold on Amazon in additional styles as well.
Ask The Toy Maven
A real reader question, answered by Adeena
This gumball machine by B. toys is quite popular in our house and was actually recently updated to be even more adorable! Not only do babies love chasing after the colorful balls as they roll down the chute, but it's great for refining fine motor skills and learning to follow a cycle โ insert ball, push coin, remove ball, repeat.
The fun doesn't stop there โ this will also grow with your daughter and help with color recognition and eventually counting (the balls are numbered!). The toy is sturdy, durable, and very well-priced. Designed for ages 12 months and up.
Have a ball next Shabbos! โ Adeena
